Mother of 5 trying to end a stigma
Holly Roettger-Duncan proudly displays her tattoos, but she says not everyone appreciates them and too often people make assumptions about her because of them.
In an effort to change the general public's perception of tattooed women, the Kennewick woman organized the group Modified Dolls, whose motto is, "The Different Making a Difference."

Raiders fan debuts Al Davis tribute tattoo
It’s hard to think of a more heartfelt Raider Nation memorial than this: an Al Davis tattoo.
To the best of our knowledge, this is the first such tribute to Oakland’s fallen leader (the gentleman got inked yesterday). The design is pretty understated, all things considered — Davis’ visage in his younger days coupled with ‘RIP AL’ and ‘JUST WIN BABY.’

Tattoo artists offer a permanent show of cancer research support
Thousands of men, women and children will show their support for breast cancer awareness this month by wearing pink, donating to research organizations and by running in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
But if you want to make a more permanent statement about your support for breast cancer research, several local tattoo artists want to help you wear your support for all to see.

Health experts, legitimate artists warn about dangers of homemade tattoos
A local volunteer firefighter wanted to pay a special tribute to fellow firefighters who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
He decided he wanted that tribute to be permanent and personal so he opted for a tattoo on his arm. Instead of going to one of the tattoo shops in this area, he let a friend of his sister’s do the tattoo at her home.
What happened is really weird!!
